Plot

Asil, a young Syrian refugee waiting for her paperwork in Turkey, carries the deep wounds of losing her home and family. Her tale brings to life a gentle, enormous puppet named Amal, symbolizing millions of displaced children on a trek from Turkey’s Syrian border across Europe. Guided and moved by a team of puppeteers who are refugees themselves, Amal’s vast journey unfolds as a story of kindness and revelation.
